Last time I dropped a post here, I made a big deal about changing my channel content. But let’s be honest—it was more of a refinement, if you will. Why bring it up again? Because it’s time for another tweak. A small one on my end. Hopefully, a delightfully juicy one on yours. However, before I spill the beans on what’s actually changing, let me take you on a brief detour through the winding corridors of my brain.
So there I was, frolicking through the digital wilderness of Icarus. The game’s got a plot… you know… anti-corporate vibes, dystopian undertones,… the usual… but it doesn’t boss you around. It’s more like a loose narrative scaffolding that says, “Go nuts.” And I did. Turns out, I’m currently riding my own anti-corporate wave IRL, so naturally, I started crafting my own rebellious backstory while goofing off in-game. Suddenly, I was excited. Like, possibly new-series-level excited. (Note: I said possibly. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.)
Then my brain did what it does best—wandered. It wandered into my other series and started whispering, “Hey… what if we added some storytelling spice to those too?”
** Cue the lightbulb moment. **
I realized it’d be way more fun—and way more challenging—to inject some storytelling and roleplay into my existing series. Not all of them are a perfect fit, but most are ripe for the picking. So I’m going for it.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Are we rebooting everything?” Nah. That would be chaos and I have enough of that in my life and the world around me… thank you very much. Instead, I’m opting for the elegant chaos of a soft reboot. Think of it as a subtle retcon with a wink. I won’t erase the past, but I will sprinkle in some new backstory, kick things off with a fresh intro, and let the narrative magic unfold from there.
The rest? Still simmering in my brain stew (and OneNote). Stay tuned.
