0:00 Intro
4:16 Does Your Doggy Bite?
15:06 Musing About the Future
22:32 My Family’s Annual Christmas Hat Trick
45:09 Hey, Little Fella!
- I mentioned Dueling Banjos.
- So the Dragon I encountered in the caves beneath the castle is in fact, a dragon. However, it is not a dragon from the Ice and Fire mod. It is a dragon from the Mythic Mounts mod.
- “Santa Creeper” is sung to the tune of Santa Baby.
- “We’ll burn that bridge when we get to it” is a mix of two idioms: “Burning bridges” and “We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it“.
- I mentioned the original Planet of the Apes movie.
- “Deck the Halls” is a reference to this.
- I talked a bit about the old medieval towns along the steep banks of the Rhein River in Germany where the architecture and town design are interesting to me and largely serve as inspiration for what I want to achieve in Greifenhorst.
- While talking about our own family holiday traditions, I mentioned that the core of my Mom’s side of the family is English, French, German, Haudenosaunee, Cree, and Ojibwe. This has been expanded to include Portuguese, Filipino, Mexican, and Russian.
- Then I talked about the Gregorian and Julian calendars and how they impact Christmas.
- This then led to a discussion about Christmas across Christianity including the Eastern Orthodox and how Christmas was rebranded in Russia during the Soviet Era, and how it was rebranded again with the creation of the Russian Federation.
- While talking about our family holiday traditions, I talked about Santa Claus, Ded Moroz, and Snegurochka.
- I explained how my mom did Christmas “to the nines“.
- When I first saw Georg, I thought he was a Komodo Dragon, but it turns out he is a kind of giant Gecko.
