- I mentioned Yellowstone National Park.
- When I passed through the portal and arrived at the Forgotten Temple, I was amazed at what I found there and commented that it looked like something out of the Lord of the Rings, specifically Minas Tirith in Gondor.
- One of the traders in the Forgotten Temple looks like Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.
- As I explored the Forgotten Temple, I mentioned that it felt like an empty shopping mall or one under construction with shops coming soon. I specifically mentioned Applebee’s and Walgreens.
- “Lots of space in this mall” is an homage to this from the Blues Brothers.
- “I am stuck on Band-Aid brand because Band-Aid’s stuck on me” is an old marketing campaign for Johnson & Johnson’s Band-Aids.
- When I encountered the grub with glowing eyes, I called it a “Cujo form of caterpillar”. I also mentioned the Lost Boys as I was being zerg’ed by a squad of goblins.
- “No regular battery looks like it or lasts like it” is an old marketing campaign for Duracell batteries.
- The linen scraps in the game remind me of old fanfold printer paper. I mentioned the Print Shop from Broderbund software.
- I mentioned netherite.
- When the lightning storm started up, I talked a bit about getting hit with lightning with comparisons to Vintage Story and Minecraft.
- Shortly afterwards, I called my current home a hobbit hole. “Dawn take you all and be stone to you” is a line from the Hobbit. Gandalf said it to the Trolls. I mentioned that I loved the Peter Jackson movies, but the Rankin Bass version is still my favorite.
- I mentioned Jeff Bezos.
- Pebbles and Bamm Bamm are old cartoon characters.
