- “A peaceful easy feeling” is a quote from this.
- I mentioned that about 13,000 games had been released on Steam in 2025. I was wrong. The number is over 18,000.
- I readily admit that I am no spring chicken.
- Stephen Hawking was one of the greatest scientists in history and yet over the course of most of his life, he was unable to move or speak, yet still contributed to science and society through technology.
- Open timber wattle and daub buildings are a favorite of mine and I talked a bit about them including their inclusion in most of the buildings of Leavenworth, Washington (which was inspired to adopt a theme by Winthrop, Washington). The style of buildings in Leavenworth is reminiscent of buildings in Bavaria, Germany and Alsace, France. I mentioned that these are similar to buildings from my family history. Some of my dad’s ancestors started in Bavaria and immigrated to the Russian Empire along with manyu other Germans at the invitation of Catherine the Great… where they settled in what is now the city of Łódź, Poland (in a little village called Nowosolna) before immigrating to the United States almost exactly a hundred years later. My mom’s side of the family was rooted in the Grand Duchy of Baden which is now part of the German state of Baden-Württemberg and Alsace, France.
- We had another instance of a mob wearing a Sophisticated Backpack with the jukebox upgrade.
- I mentioned the Macaw’s Roofs mod as well as some of the other mods in the series.
- Over the past weekend, we stayed in Sequim, Washington and watched the local Christmas parade.
- I mentioned the Dramatic Doors mod and the Lithos HD resource pack.
Ever since I watched The Sting as a child, I have loved Ragtime music. However, I am not a musician, composer, or even a particularly knowledgeable fan of music. I enjoy what I enjoy and that includes many different genres of music. However, Ragtime is the soundtrack for the era I am simulating and this may the first time that modern listeners may be exposed to it. So I am including some general Ragtime links and whatever information I can find on the particular tracks I used in this episode.
