Rediscovered - Episode 15 - I SAW This Coming
We’ve been alive in this world for fifteen hours. Fifteen. And for most of that time, I was a glorified rock collector, banging stones together like a caveman auditioning for a Flintstones reboot.
But then <cue the triumphant music> I discovered copper. Glorious, melty, orange-brown copper. Suddenly, I wasn’t just surviving. I was smelting. I had entered the Copper Age, and let me tell you, it felt like unlocking cheat codes in real life.
Still, copper alone wasn’t enough. Casting tools was cute, but I needed finesse. Precision. Power. And then came the forge and with that, came the potential for the saw.
Ah yes, the saw. The humble, toothy miracle worker. With it, the tree stopped being a stubborn log and became a treasure chest of possibilities. You think I’m exaggerating? I’m not. The saw is the key to the kingdom.
- Planks? Unlocked.
- Barrels? Boom—leather curing begins.
- Furniture? Finally, I can sit like a civilized being.
- Doors? Real ones. Not dirt slabs pretending to be architecture.
The saw doesn’t just cut wood—it carves a path to civilization. It whispers, “You’re not just a survivor anymore. You’re a builder. A creator. A legend.”
And so, after all this time, after all this struggle, I can finally say with full confidence:
I SAW this coming.
